Update 12noon Friday 23 February
King Street remains closed for emergency repair works
King Street in Hammersmith remains closed to traffic between Hammersmith Broadway and Bridge Avenue due to repairs to leaking underground water mains.
We’ve demanded that @ThamesWater works 24 hours a day to get the road re-opened. They tell us the work has slipped as they’ve found another small leak, which they’re going to fix while they have access to the pipe. They aim to complete the repairs by Tuesday (27 February) evening.
Goldhawk Road remains closed
Goldhawk Road remains closed following last month’s burst pipe. Work to repair the road is ongoing and Thames Water expects to complete it by 3 March.
Final update on Wednesday 31 January
A burst water main on Goldhawk Road near Shepherds Bush Green has been causing flooding and disruption today, with many homes losing their water supply.
Thames Water is now returning the supply to the area and affected properties are starting to see their water come back on. The flooding on Goldhawk Road has been receding.
Bottled water is available for anyone who needs it. Locations are: Goldhawk Road (junction with Hammersmith Grove, and both ends where the cordon stops), Hammersmith Town Hall and White City community centre.
An information centre is open at Edward Woods community centre, 60 Norland Road, W11 4TX.
If you have problems with your water supply please contact Thames Water on 0800 316 9800 @thameswater.
Vulnerable residents are being contacted individually to make sure they have everything they need.
