Can you help bring Christmas cheer to H&F’s older residents?

We’re looking for donations towards free transport, Christmas lunch, entertainment and a Christmas present for older residents.

Hammersmith & Fulham residents over 60, who are not having lunch with anyone on Christmas Day, are being invited to join us at the Town Hall on 25 December to enjoy festive food and entertainment.

“We want to ensure all our older residents can have a great Christmas” said Cllr Ben Coleman, Cabinet Member for Health and Adult Social Care.

“Our lunches for people who’d otherwise be alone on Christmas Day are a lot of fun.  We hold them every year – the only council in the country to do so.”

This year will be our largest Christmas party yet, with up to 350 guests.  The council is putting in funding and we’re grateful to IndependentAge for a generous donation.

“But we can’t do it without the help and support of local businesses who are so generous with their donations every year”, said Cllr Coleman.

“We hope local businesses will pitch in to help make this Christmas extra special for our guests.”
