Who deserves the honour of being named the best business in Hammersmith, Shepherds Bush and Fulham?
It’s time for you to vote for your favourite local businesses as the Hammersmith & Fulham Council Brilliant Business Awards return.
The shop that you can’t do without? The one that offers the best customer service? Or the business that gives back to the community? You decide. So cast your vote today in the public nominations and you will automatically be entered into a fabulous prize draw.
“Our Brilliant Business Awards show off the great quality and variety of businesses in H&F,” said Cllr Andrew Jones, H&F Cabinet Member for Economic Development and Regeneration. “We know that people love their valued local shops and the awards are just one part of our drive to make H&F the best place to do work, live and socialise in Europe.”
Earlier this year, H&F Council launched its new industrial strategy setting out how the council could help offer economic growth for everyone. This includes:
- Make it easier for entrepreneurs to start a business by creating affordable workplaces, exploring business rate cuts for key sectors and creating a new venture capital fund to support new businesses
- Support major regeneration and infrastructure schemes, including 10,000 new homes, half of which will be genuinely affordable, as well as improving rail links and the station at Old Oak Common
- Invest in local skills, with extra support for science and maths teachers and apprenticeships
- Ensure that all residents benefit from the new economic growth.
Last year’s Best Customer Service award winner Merci Maman benefited greatly from the Brilliant Business Award.
Beatrice de Montille founded her hand-crafted jewellery company from her kitchen table in 2007 and has not looked back since.
“Winning the award has allowed us to grow our brand awareness locally but also nationwide. Being recognised by your local council is a great privilege as we work hard to support and work with our local community,” said Beatrice.
“On the night of the event, we celebrated our achievements and got the chance to network with other local brands and entrepreneurs. This was a great achievement for the team as we pride ourselves on always putting the customer first.”
Even the Duchess of Cambridge is a fan of the Fulham company in Heathmans Road donning one of Beatrice’s necklaces with Prince George’s name engraved on it.
The five businesses with the most public votes in each category will be invited to the glittering gala ceremony on 15 November at the town hall.
The closing date for nominations is 5 November.
