Night tube success reduces demand for 94 bus at weekend

The success of the Night Tube has led to changes for the 94 bus route serving Shepherds Bush and Hammersmith.

The success of the Night Tube has led to changes for the 94 bus route serving Shepherds Bush and Hammersmith.

TfL has announced that the 24-hour bus service that stops in Shepherds Bush Green, Goldhawk Road and Askew Road on its way between Acton Green and Piccadilly Circus will now run every 30 minutes on Friday and Saturday nights instead of every 15 minutes, bringing it in line with the Sunday to Thursday service.

Late night demand at the weekends on the 94 bus route have eased since the opening of the Night Tube, which sees the Central Line run through Shepherds Bush and White City, as well as Barons Court and Hammersmith stations on the Piccadilly Line.

In its first year, the Night Tube has proven to be a real gem by boosting the London economy by £171million and supporting more than 3,600 jobs, TfL claim.

The changes only affected the late night service on Friday and Saturday nights, the 94 will continue with its normal schedule throughout the day.
