Keep active this summer with a range of fun activities in Fulham

There’s no better chance to get active this summer with a range of fun activities in Fulham to suit every taste.

There’s no better chance to get active this summer with a range of fun activities in Fulham to suit every taste.

If Wimbledon has failed to get you off the sofa so far, perhaps creative dance is more up your street, or tai chi is more your cup of tea.

Those are just two of a host of age-specific activities being run in Normand Park by Hammersmith & Fulham Council as part of its Get Going campaign, promoting active lifestyles.

“We understand not everyone wants to go to the gym, or jog around our parks, which is why Get Going includes a broad range of activities, so there’s something to suit all tastes,” said Cllr Wesley Harcourt, H&F Cabinet Member for Environment, Leisure and Residents’ Services.

“We want to support our residents to live healthy, active lifestyles, but allowing them to do so in a way that suits them. Perhaps by simply moving more or eating better.”

As well as tai chi and creative dance, residents can have a go at women’s football, tennis, or enjoy a buggy walk, or wellbeing day. Activities start on 24 July and run until the end of August.

Activities range from those suitable for under-fives, to family activities, those for adults and others for older residents.
