The Mayor's tea dance at Hammersmith Town Hall

Hammersmith & Fulham’s ever popular tea dance is back next month and tickets for the free event are going fast.

The next dance will be held on Wednesday 12 July and is open to senior citizens of all abilities.

The event will run from 1pm-4pm at Hammersmith Town Hall and dancers will be welcomed by H&F Mayor, Cllr Mike Cartwright.

“Our annual tea dance is among the highlights of the year,” said Cllr Cartwright.

“Why not come along enjoy the music and try out some steps? It’s a perfect chance to meet new people – not to mention enjoy some delicious tea and cake.”

It will be run by the ever popular Rita and Terry, who have organised dances for nearly 20 years.

There will be demonstrations by ballroom and ceili dancers as well as the chance for people to take to the floor themselves.

Ballroom and Latin dancing will be among the fun, along with sequence dancing where everyone performs the steps at the same time.
