Grenfell Tower fire

Last update – Thursday 15 June, 10.15am

The Met Police has set up an emergency number for anyone concerned for loved ones following the North Kensington fire: 0800 0961 233. We have offered help to colleagues at Kensington and Chelsea Council.

The Hammersmith & City and Circle lines have fully reopened between Hammersmith and Edgware Road, and the A40 Westway has fully reopened in both directions. Bus services in the area will be affected until further notice.

The council has been inundated with calls from people across the community seeking ways they can help those affected by yesterday’s Grenfell Tower fire.

Financial donations

Donations are no longer being accepted.

Volunteer

Kensington and Chelsea Council is also looking for volunteers to help with the support effort following the fire. Find out more on Kensington and Chelsea Twitter feed or call 020 7361 3008.

Food and clothing donations

Kensington and Chelsea Council has been overwhelmed with donations for the people affected by the fire. They say ‘thank you’ to everybody but they now can’t take any more donations. So please don’t bring any more food or clothes to any of the Hammersmith & Fulham collection points.
