A Bluecity electric car
Bluecity is no longer accepting new members and will stop trading from February 2020.
There are just a few days to go until the London’s first electric car club launches in Hammersmith & Fulham.
Bluecity will launch at H&F Council’s ‘eco fair’ in Lyric Square, Hammersmith, on Monday 12 June.
“We want to be the greenest borough in the country and this is a easy way for residents to play their part in helping us achieve this ambition.” Cllr Wesley Harcourt, H&F Cabinet Member for Environment, Transport and Residents’ Services.
Users can reserve a vehicle 30-minutes in advance and can leave it in any compatible charging bay in the 17 London boroughs who are signed up to Source London.
To subscribe, you’ll need to provide your driving licence and proof of address, or copies of these documents.
What is Bluecity?
Bluecity is an electric car club where you can pick up a car from any local charging point.
H&F Council teamed up with Bluecity and charging points provider Source London, to offer more electric vehicle charging points than any other London borough.
By the end of this summer, H&F will have a network of 150 on-street electric vehicle charging points. Car club members can pick up or leave their car at these, or those in other London boroughs.
Bluecity cars create no exhaust emissions, so you can drive around safe in the knowledge you’re not contributing to local air pollution levels as well as helping to combat climate change.
Eco fair
The first ever H&F eco fair is a celebration of recent projects which help improve the local environment, from planting in tree bases and working with residents to tackle air pollution.
The ‘eco fair’ is in Lyric Square on Monday 12 June and will run from 11am until 2pm. It will include a celebration of all the council’s environmental projects, as well as showcasing future green schemes.
There will also be stalls from Bluecity and other environmental organisations.
