The Grove Neighbourhood Centre in Hammersmith

Hammersmith's Grove Neighbourhood Centre is to hold a spring fete this Saturday, and all are welcome to attend.

The centre, in Bradmore Park Road, will be throwing its doors open between 1 and 3pm on Saturday 22 April, with a wide variety of attractions.

Visitors will be able to shop from a selection of tasty home-baked creations, a plant stall, bric-a-brac, jewellery and clothing.

There will also be hot food, a tombola, and a raffle: with prizes including a £60 restaurant voucher, and a brewery tour.

Grove Neighbourhood Centre provides community support and drop-in facilities for several local groups, and acts as a community centre for the area bordered by Goldhawk Road and King Street, Paddenswick Road and Hammersmith Grove.

“As a community centre we try to make a difference, particularly for elderly single people in the local community,” said Kim Benson, of Grove Neighbourhood Centre.

“We raise all our own funds, so events like this help us run our programme of lunch clubs, coach trips and other events for senior citizens.”
