Half term is here! The good news for parents is that there are a host of free, fun-packed activities to keep young people active in the borough.

Let Me Play – one of the largest activity providers in the borough – have a huge line-up of events. It includes sports, performing arts, fashion and art. Everyone aged 11-19 is invited to take part.

Best of all, activities are free to attend. And all abilities are welcome.

Let Me Play, based in Blythe Road, West Kensington, runs the half-term activities thanks to the financial support of Hammersmith & Fulham Council.

“Half-term is a great time for the borough’s young people to stay active and learn new skills without the pressure of school and homework on their minds,” said Cllr Sue Fennimore, H&F Cabinet Member for Social Inclusion.

“I hope youngsters take advantage of the wide array of events on offer in H&F during the half term.”

Slip & slide

One of the stand-out sporting events that should get the little ones excited is the chance to slip, slide and splash across an inflatable obstacle course – in a swimming pool!

Art activities include a Bake Off challenge and hairstyling at Westfield shopping centre meanwhile the performing arts offers ballet and street dance classes.

The events are held at a variety of different venues across Hammersmith & Fulham, and run from 13 to 17 February.

The event is part of the Community Champions programme which is delivered by H&F Council.

It all kicks off on the Bayonne Estate Ball Court on Bayonne Road from 11am when Let Me Play will run basketball, dodgeball and football sessions.

And for the thespians in the family, there will be performing arts activities in the morning in Twynholm Residents Association Hall in Laundry Road followed by arts and crafts at 1pm.
