Businesses from across Hammersmith & Fulham have been shortlisted for the prestigious West London Business Awards.

The news helps H&F Council’s aspiration for the borough to become the best place to do business in Europe.

Organisations ranging from a local housing association to Westfield shopping centre have been acknowledged for their excellence, with the winners being announced at a special ceremony at Wembley Stadium in February next year.

“Hammersmith & Fulham is proud to be home to so many innovative and pioneering businesses which excel at what they do. We commend all those shortlisted,” said Cllr Andrew Jones, H&F Cabinet Member for Economic Development and Regeneration.

“The borough’s history and unique attributes, including proximity to the city and fantastic transport links have long attracted businesses which then go on to thrive.

“So these nominations further cement H&F as the best place to do business in Europe.”

Leading the charge with five nominations is the Westfield London shopping centre in Shepherds Bush, which has been shortlisted for, Hospitality Business of the Year, Retail Business of the Year, Responsible Workplace Award, Community Investment Award and Green Business of the Year.

Computer support and services business OryxAlign, from Shepherds Bush, has two nominations, for Business Services Company of the Year and Technology Business of the Year.

Another local organisation in line for an award is Shepherds Bush Housing Group, which has been nominated in the Community Investment Award Category.

Hammersmith & Fulham Council was also named in the shortlist for the Responsible Workplace Award category.

The awards recognise the outstanding achievements of organisations and individuals across three themes: sector leadership; sustainable and responsible business; and economic growth.
