Residents are being invited to join royalty for a seasonal fundraising concert to mark the centenary of Fulham-based war veteran’s charity, Stoll.

Her Royal Highness, The Countess of Wessex will join veterans, supporters and members of the public at Stoll’s annual Christmas carol concert to raise vital funds to help the charity provide housing to homeless and disabled veterans.

The carol concert will take place at St Paul’s Church, Knightsbridge on 8 December and residents from Hammersmith & Fulham are encouraged to come along and sing their support.

“I’m delighted to support Stoll, a fantastic Fulham charity in its centenary year, and I encourage H&F residents to come along to this brilliant event,” said Cllr Alan De’Ath, H&F Council’s Borough Representative for the Armed Forces.

“For many veterans that have sacrificed so much for their country, civilian life can be difficult and Stoll’s work is essential in supporting them. That is why H&F Council is proud to support Stoll.”

The concert will include performances from the Band of the Irish Guards, the South London Military Wives Choir, students from the local theatre company Creative Kidz and the Choir of St Paul’s Knightsbridge.

Stoll is marking its centenary year, having supported the nation's ex-service men and women since 1916. The charity is running a series of events to raise money for those leaving the armed forces who are in desperate need of safe accommodation and support.

Stoll’s Chief Executive Ed Tytherleigh, said: “Christmas is a time for celebration but let us not forget those who have served in the armed forces for our country and are now in need of our help.

“We hope that the carol concert will encourage people to get behind us and the vital work we are doing.”

The carol concert takes place at 6.30pm at St Paul’s Church, Knightsbridge, with food and drink provided by Sainsbury’s, Fulham Broadway.

Tickets cost £15 for adults, £3 for veterans and is free for children under 16.
