Award-winning Ravenscourt Park has gained yet another accolade after being voted a top culture spot by the public in a popular London-wide awards.

Ravenscourt Park was voted the winner in the ‘Local Culture, Hammersmith’ category in the third annual Time Out Love London Awards, which celebrate the hottest haunts and coolest corners of the city.

The awards received 37,000 nominations London-wide and more than 120,000 votes, with people choosing their favourite spots in five categories; local culture, restaurants, bars and pubs, cafes and coffee shops, and shops.

“We’re delighted that our fabulous Ravenscourt Park has been voted the worthy winner for culture in Hammersmith in the Time Out Love London awards,” said Cllr Wesley Harcourt, H&F Cabinet Member for Environment, Transport and Residents’ Services

“This award is testament to the hard work our staff and the Friends of Ravenscourt Park put in all year round to keep the greenery and wealth of facilities in the park in great condition.

“We are determined to be the greenest borough in the country and Ravenscourt Park is one of our key green spaces. It is a true hidden gem of Hammersmith and delights everyone who visits.”

Following the public vote, Ravenscourt Park clinched the top spot, with the Lyric Hammersmith coming in runner-up. Also on the shortlist were the Hespibah Gallery and the Maggie’s Centre.

Earlier this year, Ravenscourt Park was one of 11 of Hammersmith & Fulham’s parks and green spaces which retained their Keep Britain Tidy ‘Green Flag’ status, marking them as among the best in the country.
