Christmas is coming to North End Road with another popular traffic free market – giving traders the perfect opportunity to meet thousands of people in one day.
More than 90 stall holders have already signed up, with traders keen not to miss out on the event on Saturday 3 December. Last year more than 15,000 people came to enjoy the shopping and entertainment.
“North End Road Christmas Market is getting more popular every year and with the variety of stalls and great entertainment on offer I’m not surprised,” said Cllr Andrew Jones, Cabinet Member for Economic Development and Regeneration.
“Traders told us they were delighted by the public’s response to this year’s autumn market and our Christmas event is expected to be even more successful.
“Whether you’re a new trader or have been long established, it’s the perfect chance to boost your business and get your name seen by thousands of potential customers.”
Those who have already signed up include businesses selling handmade festive gifts including Christmas wreaths, candles, traditional wooden Christmas decorations and woollen hats and shawls.
The traffic-free Christmas market will be held on Saturday 3 December and run from 10am to 6pm. There will be plenty of entertainment including a funfair, live music and street performers.
Traders should sign up before Friday 11 November to ensure the best chance of getting a pitch.
“The traffic free markets are a great opportunity for startups,” said Mark Richardson, member of the North End Road Action Group.
“More established traders find a friendly crowd who are out to have fun and enjoy themselves with their families.
“The curated mix of stalls means that there is a wide variety of goods and street foods to make the day successful for everyone.”
