The North End Road Christmas market on Saturday 3 December from 9am to 5pm is due to be the best yet, with more entertainment and stalls than ever.
Browsing the record 160 stalls, why not treat yourself to a Christmas wreath from Flower Days, some fragrant candles from J&A Luxury Candles UK, mulled wine from Finest Fizz, or a ‘pizza doughnut’ from Paolino Paznerotti?
Among the confirmed music acts taking to the main stage on the day, visitors can enjoy classical music from ZHL String Ensemble, cappella harmonies from Timeless, and live performances from Lyra, Kloak and Enne.
Santa will be making his first visit of the year to the borough. And at 4.30pm, Georgia Toffolo, star of television show Made in Chelsea, will be switching on the street’s Christmas lights.
Dotted among the shopping, charities will also have stalls, including the Refugee and Migrant Forum of West London.
“This is going to be our biggest and best traffic-free market ever and a big thank you goes to all the residents and businesses who’ve worked with the council to make it so good,” said H&F Councillor Andrew Jones, Cabinet Member for Economic Development and Regeneration. “Even after 140 years, North End Road keeps growing as a great shopping destination and we’re determined to keep it that way.”
Last year’s Christmas market was a runaway success, with 14,000 visitors, and this year’s event follows hot on the heels of last month’s North End Road Autumn Market. You can see what some of the 10,000 visitors thought of it in our video.
Entertainment will run from 11am until 5pm and the Christmas lights will be switched on at 4.30pm.
