Residents and businesses warned to plan ahead of multiple roadworks around Parsons Green

Vodafone, National Grid Gas and Thames Water are all undertaking maintenance works in and around Parsons Green.

Residents and businesses near Parsons Green are being advised to plan ahead to avoid congestion as Vodafone, National Grid Gas and Thames Water are all undertaking maintenance works that will require traffic management.

The series of works are scheduled to finish in January 2017.

The works have been timed to coincide with the end of National Grid’s major gas pipe renewals in Kings Road, Fulham.

The mainstay of the work will be a further National Grid project, who will need to close Parsons Green Lane, northbound to replace a gas mains pipe. National Grid has also identified two gas main on New King's Road which it intends to replace in October, using temporary traffic lights.

The closure for Parsons Green Lane will be in place from 17 October to 9 December, from New King’s Road to the railway bridge, then from the railway bridge to Fulham Road in January.

Residents and businesses have been sent letters by National Grid to notify them of the work. For more information, or to register a complaint, call them on 0800 096 5678.

Thames Water works will required two-way traffic lights and a full closure at three individual sites along Wandsworth Bridge Road, on 26 September, 3 October and 10 October, respectively.

Vodafone has already begun works to the footway on New King’s Road which will last for another fortnight. Works to the crossing on Peterborough Road will be completed on consecutive Sundays.
