Fulham Palace has teamed up with the legendary 606 jazz club in Chelsea to present two exciting nights of live music under the stars.
The annual Jazz on the Lawn party will take place at Fulham Palace on Friday 29 July and Saturday 30 July. It will feature an impressive mix of musical styles from two leading groups booked straight from the 606 stable.
On Friday, powerful septet The Fontanas will play an exciting blend of latin, ska, Brazilian funk and soul. While visitors on the following day can enjoy a performance of classic jazz and swing by Georgina Jackson and her Quintet.
The Fontanas, led by singer and guitarist Sam Sutton, have performed at many well-known festivals and venues, including Glastonbury, Bestival and The Secret Garden Party.
And Georgina Jackson is a talented jazz singer and trumpet player, and is the house singer with Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Orchestra, and her single Change Partners recently shot to the top of the iTunes jazz chart.
This is the eighth year that the 606 Club has teamed up with Fulham Palace to present Jazz on the Lawn. Bring a picnic! Children under the age of three are free.
