Made in Chelsea star Louise Thompson will be switching on the Christmas lights in Fulham’s North End Road on Saturday 28 November at 4.30pm.

The celebrity switch-on is one of the many attractions of the two big, traffic-free Christmas markets in North End Road, which are taking place on both 28 November and Saturday 12 December.

The Christmas markets build on the success of last year’s festive market and a summer market in June that attracted 15,000 visitors. They are being organised by the council and the North End Road Action Group as part of their commitment to revive North End Road.

Louise Thompson will also be taking a stall at the markets to sell her exclusive designer clothing line, Pocket.

“I’m delighted that Louise will be switching on the lights and that hers will be one of our 150 great stalls,” said Cllr Andrew Jones, H&F Cabinet Member for Economic Development and Regeneration.

On both days, alongside the regular market, the road will be filled with stalls selling a wide range of Christmas presents and festive food and drink. There will also be street entertainers, carol singers, live music, a funfair and much more.

Run your own stall

Have you ever dreamt about having your own market stall? If so, why not give it a go at the Christmas markets? Two in five stallholders at the summer market were first-timers and a number have gone on to run stalls full time or open their own business.

“We want to develop a range of opportunities for local people to set up new businesses,” said Cllr Jones, “These markets are part of it”.
