Canine lovers in west London are invited to a special dog show at Ravenscourt Park this weekend.

Whether you are passionate about Poodles, smitten by Staffordshire Bull Terriers or simply love Labradors, make sure you attend the Ravenscourt Park Dog Show on Saturday, 6 September.

The event, returning for the third year running, is organised by Hammersmith & Fulham (H&F) Council’s Parks Police Service and is open to all dogs in the following classes:

  • best rescue dog
  • best cross breed dog
  • best puppy
  • best young handler
  • best pedigree
  • best in show

There will also be a raffle, a dog agility course, free dog micro chipping, a bouncy castle and slide, and the  Parks Police Service will offer advice to local dog owners on how to look after their animals within the borough’s parks and open spaces.

The event follows another successful dog show in Hurlingham Park, which attracted 150 visitors in July.

Cllr Wesley Harcourt, Hammersmith & Fulham Council’s Cabinet Member for Transport, Environment and Residents’ Services, said: “It is fantastic that the Hurlingham Park event was able to support the Dogs Trust and give so many residents a fun day in the park. We hope for a similarly good turnout at Ravenscourt Park.”

Registration is at 11am and the event runs from 12pm to 3pm. Entry to the event is free. Entry into the competition costs £1.50 per dog per class, with all proceeds donated to the Dogs Trust.
