Kensel Green Cemetery tours
The General Cemetery of All Souls, Kensal Green, was the most fashionable burial ground in Victorian England, its social heyday framed by the funerals of HRH The Duke of Sussex in 1843 and that of his nephew HRH The Duke of Cumberland in 1904.
The Friends of Kensal Green Cemetery offer guided tours of the cemetery every Sunday afternoon from March to October, and the first and third Sunday of each month from November to February. Every tour provides an introduction to Kensal Green, its history, architecture and development, and to some of the many famous (and infamous) figures buried within this great necropolis. On the first and third Sunday of every month, the tour includes a visit to the catacomb beneath the Anglican Chapel.
