Historic houses

Many historic houses in Hammersmith and Fulham are not open to the public except when they participate in London’s Open House weekend in September every year.

Emery Walker, printer, antiquary and mentor to William Morris. His home is a fine example of the arts and crafts interior. April- July, Restricted access. The house is usually open Thursday and Fridays between April and July and again in September. Tickets are £10 and can be booked online.

Kelmscott House, where Morris spent his last 18 years, is a free museum with original arts, textiles and printing press. Open on Thursdays and Saturdays 2-5pm. Library and newly refurbish coachhouse available for meeting hire.
