Hammersmith is home to several rowing clubs and a very popular squash centre. Within the borough of Hammersmith & Fulham there are three professional football clubs including the Chelsea FC
Recreation on the Thames
London’s Rural Thames has very little commercial river traffic and is ideally suited for getting out and about on the water. It is a mecca for rowing and there are many clubs scattered along the river, particularly the Putney to Mortlake stretch where the world-famous Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race is held each year. There are canoeing, sailing and angling clubs, and water activity centres.

Professional climbers can lift their own bodyweight by their fingertips and first timers often find this sport extremely tough.
