ROWING & RIVER SPORTS
London’s River Thames has very little commercial river traffic and is ideally suited for getting out and about on the water. It is a mecca for rowing and there are many clubs scattered along the river, particularly the Putney to Mortlake stretch where the world-famous Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race is held each year. There are also canoeing, sailing and angling clubs, and water activity centres.
