| The project appoints advisory staff to undertake outreach work to enable local residents to secure their full entitlement to benefits. The project is a joint scheme involving the Citizens Advice Bureau in Fulham and the Council’s Shepherds Bush Advice Centre. It builds on a previous scheme which operated in 1995/96 and other similar schemes operating elsewhere in the country. The full proposal envisages five staff, two of whom will be appointed this year. The project workers will operate in a number of innovative ways, e.g. by taking their work to GP surgeries and to venues used by minority ethnic communities. | ||
