Our Priorities

Regenasis's mission is to invest in the talents of local people and communities to help them access opportunities and improve the quality of their lives.

We prioritise:

Tackling social exclusion by improving education, health and welfare services, building the capacity of local communities to drive forward the regeneration process;
Achieving sustainable communities by building safer communities to drive, preventing accident, improving the environment and quality of life and building transport infrastructure to enable access to jobs;
Promoting enterprise and employability by unlocking opportunities to establish routes into employment, stimulate enterprise and increase competitiveness.

Our approach
We believe the best way to bring about these changes is to invest in the talents of local people and communities to help them access opportunities and to improve the quality of their lives.

Accountability
Regenasis is managed by an Executive Board, which, in conjunction with a number of specialist panels, decides the allocation of funding.

The Executive Board consists of representatives from the Council, local businesses, voluntary groups and the Partnership's Executive Team.

All projects are independently appraised by the panels that makes recommendations to the Executive Committee.

Success
So far the Partnership has secured £28m until 2006. In the past 4 years, Regenasis-supported projects have

helped over 1600 people to find work
trained over 2900 people to pass a qualification
created over 830 jobs
supported over 300 new businesses
