The Japan – British Exhibition of 1910
The Japan-British Exhibition in 1910 was to help strengthen the alliance between the two countries, in terms of political friendship, trade and commerce. Showing gardens, temples, tea-houses and water features built by Japanese designers and workmen, visitors felt that they were in Japan itself when they saw the paper and stone lanterns and the cherry and almond blossom on the trees.
This exhibition documents the story of the 1910 exhibition which was held in White City.
