FREDERICK WATTS, O.M., R.A.
1817
- 1904
A

for the head of Orpheus in Orpheus and Eurydice,
a subject Watts painted at least nine times between 1869,
when he exhibited a work of this title at the Royal Academy
(700) and 1903 when he completed the version now in the
Watts Gallery, Compton (185.4 x 104). A small oil version,
