Walking and cycling
Walking and cycling are cheaper, healthier and greener than other forms of transport and in our busy borough it is often faster too. We are always working to improve the safety of pedestrians and cyclists. We have developed several new schemes with Transport for London to improve the London Cycle Network. The Network aims to provide safe and convenient cycle routes linking residential areas with all major centres of employment, retail, leisure and transport across the city.
