Parking controls - Aegon tennis championships

Extended parking controls apply in part of Zone D for the Aegon tennis championships

This event takes place at Queen's Club from Saturday 4th June to Sunday 12th June, 2011 (inclusive).

In order to help address additional parking pressures during the tournament, part of Controlled Parking Zone D will have its operating hours extended to Monday to Sunday 9am to 7pm, during the Championships (normal hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm).

Shared permit holder/pay and display parking bays, single yellow lines and parking suspensions in the affected part of Zone D apply from 9am to 7pm, Monday to Sunday, for the period 4th to 12th June 2011 inclusive.

Zone D resident and business parking permits and blue badges continue to be valid for parking without time limit in Zone D shared permit/pay and display bays, even during the extended hours of control.

SMART VISITOR PARKING

These extended restrictions will affect the way in which the SMART Visitor Permit operates in Zone D. For the duration of the tournament, the hours of operation of the SMART Visitor Permit in Zone D will be extended to Monday to Sunday 9am to 7pm.

Residents living within the extended zone area:

If you live within the part of Zone D with extended hours then your visitor will need to use the SMART Visitor Permit throughout the length of the extended hours. The permit will operate in the same way as it usually does. You will need to activate and deactivate the permit when your visitor arrives and leaves, even if it is on a Saturday or Sunday. The permit will automatically deactivate at 7pm each night when the controlled hours end.

Residents living outside the extended zone:

If you live outside the extended zone your visitors will not need to pay to park during the additional hours of control, i.e. between 5pm and 7pm Monday to Friday and from 9am to 7pm Saturday and Sunday, provided that they do not park in the extended zone area. If you have a visitor between Monday and Friday you will need to deactivate the permit at 5pm to ensure you do not continue to pay for parking after this time. If you forget to deactivate your permit it will automatically deactivate at 7pm. If you have a visitor on the weekend you do not need to use the SMART Visitor Permit, provided that they do not park in the extended zone area.
