On street parking enforcement - wheel clamps and vehicle removal
We do not wheel-clamp in this borough. Wheel clamps may however be applied to vehicles parked on streets in our borough by bailiffs in respect of unpaid Penalty Charge Notices or other debts (owed to Hammersmith and Fulham or to other Authorities), or by agents acting on behalf of other agencies, such as the DVLA.
What should I do if my vehicle has been removed?
If you think your vehicle has been removed by the Council, you can call us on (020) 7371 5678 to check (our usual opening hours are Mon-Sat, 8am-6pm, except for bank holidays).
You can also call TRACE on (020) 7747 4747 (24 hours). TRACE is the towed vehicle tracing service, run by London Councils.
If the council has removed the vehicle, it will have been taken to our car pound.

Storage fees are £40 per day (or part day) and start to apply if you do not collect your vehicle either on the day it was removed, or the day after it was removed.
To collect your vehicle, you will normally need to provide two proofs of identification, both showing the your name and address. The name and address on both documents must be the same.
We advise that you take your vehicle registration document, and a recent household bill (not more than three months old).
We reserve the right to require additional proof of identification before releasing a vehicle in certain circumstances.
Appeal against removal - Representation:
If you would like to challenge the penalty charge notice and the removal of your vehicle, you must first collect (and pay for) your vehicle. Once you have done this, you should write to LBHF Parking Services, PO Box 4666, Worthing BN11 9FY. You must do this within 28 days of collecting your vehicle. The council will consider your representations and respond formally to you within 56 days.
If we agree to accept your representation, we will write to you and refund the charges.
If we do not agree with your representation, we will send you a 'Notice of Rejection of Representation'.
This will explain our reasons, and will also explain your right to appeal against the decision to an Independent Adjudicator. We will send you an appeal form with the Notice of Rejection letter.
