Parking Services
Customer Survey - 2006
Parking Services will be carrying out periodic surveys into various areas of its operations. This is to follow up the wide range of surveys carried out in 2005. It is being done to ensure that we still know what the public think of our performance and identify areas where improvements are needed.
In the first round of surveys, approximately 100 surveys where sent out in relation to pay and display machines and Civil Enforcement Officers (Parking Attendants). The surveys revealed that majority of the respondents think that our pay and display machines are reliable and easy to use. A majority neither agreed nor disagreed that pay and display machine vandalism is a major problem in the borough.
They also reveal that a majority did not agree nor disagree that Civil Enforcement Officers (CEO's) issue fines fairly, consistently or help the free flow of traffic and aid reasonable access to parking.
The survey also indicated that most respondents did not think that our CEO's concentrate their efforts on the worst areas of congestion and parking.
In order to address this, we will be arranging to make it possible for the public to report the worst areas with parking obstruction via the Council’s website. CEO's will then be sent to enforce reported areas that are suitable for enforcement.
