Bank Holiday parking information in Hammersmith and Fulham
Details of parking and traffic restrictions on public and bank holidays
For specific information about parking over Christmas and New Year 2011-12, see our separate information page.
In the majority of our parking zones, on-street 'pay and display' charges do not apply on public and bank holidays. There are some exceptions to this rule:
1) in Zone CC, parking restrictions apply from 9am to 8pm, every day (including weekends and bank holidays, except for Christmas Day and Easter Sunday). There is a 2-hour maximum for pay and display parking in Zone CC.
2) in Zone G, parking restrictions apply from 9am to 10pm, every day (including weekends and bank holidays, except for Christmas Day and Easter Sunday). There is a 2-hour maximum for pay and display parking in Zone G - check the parking signs for further details.
3) in Zones X & Y, parking restrictions apply on Sundays or on bank holidays if there is a football match scheduled at Fulham FC. A list of match dates can be found on the Fulham Football Club match dates page.
Details of other parking and traffic restrictions which apply on bank holidays:
- In Council controlled off-street pay and display car parks, please check the signs and conditions of use on the pay and display machines to see if charges and restrictions apply on bank holidays.
- Yellow lines and loading restrictions are in force during the days and times shown on the relevant sign, even if this falls on a public or bank holiday. If no days are shown on the sign, the restriction applies every day, including bank holidays. Similarly, if no times are shown on the sign, the restriction applies at all times, including bank holidays.
- Bus lanes, disabled bays, bus stops, taxi ranks, doctors' bays, diplomatic parking bays and loading bays are in force during the days and times shown on the relevant sign, even if this falls on a public or bank holiday. If no days are shown on the sign, the restriction applies every day, including bank holidays. Similarly, if no times are shown on the sign, the restriction applies at all times, including bank holidays.
- Footway parking restrictions and white zig-zag pedestrian crossing restrictions apply all day, every day, including public and bank holidays.
- Other 'moving traffic' restrictions (for example yellow box junctions, banned turns, no entry, one-way streets, etc) also apply all day, every day, including public and bank holidays.
