Noisy neighbour evicted

Peace and quiet has returned to Crane Court in North Hammersmith after a neighbour from hell was evicted for her consistently anti-social behaviour.
Tracy Daly was thrown out of her H&F Home after persistently playing loud music, day and night. She also hurled homophobic and racial abuse at other residents of Crane Court, Emlyn Gardens, on a daily basis.
The council received 44 complaints of loud music emanating from Daly's property over a three year period. Warning letters were sent, she was served with two noise abatement notices and subsequently her stereo was seized from her home. Eventually, when taken to court she pleaded guilty to three charges of breaching the abatement notice.
Cllr Greg Smith, Cabinet Member for Crime and Anti-Social Behaviour, said: “Daly made life a misery for her neighbours and I am glad the she has now been evicted. Residents deserve to be able to live in peace and quiet and we will continue to clamp down on neighbours from hell.
“I would also like to thank the witnesses who helped us immeasurably in this case. Without the information and the courage they provided in court hearings Tracy Daly would still be causing a nuisance and misery for other residents of Emlyn Gardens. I would like to encourage more people to come forward if they are suffering similar problems.”
Once Daly had her stereo confiscated her verbal abuse worsened and on one occasion she grabbed the victim around the neck
Daly was finally evicted last month, ensuring all residents in the area can now lead a normal life free from noise nuisance and abuse.
“We have a zero-tolerance policy towards anti-social behaviour here in Hammersmith & Fulham,” added Cllr Smith. “If you think it is acceptable to make life a misery for your neighbour think again or be prepared to pay the penalty.”
People suffering from nuisance and anti-social behaviour problems close to their homes are urged to contact the council on 020 8748 3020 and the police. Tenants and leaseholders of H&F Homes should attend their local housing office to make a report and private residents should call 020 8753 2816.
