An H and F Homes tenant' whose property was being used for drug dealing was evicted from her home last week (10 June) following an investigation by the council's anti social behaviour unit.

Nicola Ruff, of Aspen Gardens, W6, persistently failed to pay her rent and also engaged in drug related anti-social behaviour.

Neighbours found bags of needles in stairwells and it became apparent that drugs were being dealt from within her home. The police raided the premises earlier this year and found drugs paraphernalia and clear signs of Class A drug use. They shared the evidence with the council's anti social behaviour unit who was able to facilitate her eviction.

Cllr Smith, cabinet member for crime and anti social behaviour, said: “H&F has a zero tolerance policy towards anti social behaviour and will continue to clamp down on all people who think it is acceptable. I hope the residents of Aspen Gardens enjoy some peace and quiet now that Ruff has been evicted.

He added: “Criminals and persistent perpetrators of anti social behaviour will not be able to get away with their actions in H&F and we will bring them to justice."

People suffering from nuisance and anti-social behaviour problems close to their homes are urged to contact the council on 020 8748 3020 and the police. Tenants and leaseholders of H&F Homes should attend their local housing office to make a report and private residents should call 020 8753 2816.
