Quadron to maintain parks in the borough

Parks and open spaces in the borough are being maintained to the very highest of standards with the council teaming up with one of the Britain's most highly-respected grounds maintenance companies to ensure they look beautiful all year round.
Quadron Services has a proven track record in delivering improvements to parks, open spaces and housing areas throughout the country. They currently provide services to the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, and Southwark Council.
Cllr Paul Bristow, Cabinet Member for Resident's Services, said: "We are delighted to have brought Quadron Services on board as a partner, helping us to maintain our parks to the highest possible standard. Residents will be glad to know that of all the bids on the table, Quadron's was by far the best when it came to offering value for money and improving the quality of services."
The council will be working closely with Quadron in order to bring our flagship parks to green flag standards, and the public will soon be able to see many improvements to the borough's parks and open spaces.
Cllr Bristow added: "This summer's ParkLife campaign is not just about promoting our beautiful parks and open spaces. It is also about highlighting the improvements in the management of the parks. Hand in hand with Quadron, we are going to ensure that members of the public can be proud of our parks and open spaces. We want as many people as possible to spend time in the great outdoors so with summer approaching now is the time to indulge in some ParkLife.
The contract with Quadron runs for a period of seven years with an option to extend for another seven years subject to satisfactory performance.
