Are you the next Gordon Ramsay? Do you think the proof of the pudding is in the eating? If so, then you should enter the Chef of the Year competition.
Hammersmith & Fulham Council is calling on the best culinary whizzes in the borough to don their aprons and get mixing to win £1,000 to spend on professional kitchen equipment.
Applicants must show that they have a high standard of food hygiene, and can create a two course meal from scratch within an hour. The dishes are judged on their nutritional quality, appearance, aroma, texture and taste, and the general ambience of the business is also taken into account.
The top winners from this round will then go through to the final – an hour-long ‘cook-off’ on Tuesday November 11 at the T.A.S.T.E. Restaurant at Hammersmith & West London College.
For an application form please contact the food safety team on 020 8753 1081, or email foodsafety@lbhf.gov.uk. Application forms can also be downloaded from the council website www.lbhf.gov.uk. The closing date for applications is Friday June 27.
