Vulnerable adults get top-rated social care services in Hammersmith & Fulham, according to the latest assessment by national standards watchdog, the Commission for Social Care Inspectorate.

Hammersmith & Fulham has again been awarded the top rating of three stars with excellent prospects for improvement.

Services covered by the inspection include residential and home care for older people and people with disabilities, mental illness and learning disabilities.

“This rating is an assurance that services for our most vulnerable adults are among the best in the country and I would like to thank the dedicated staff who make such a difference to the lives of our older and disabled residents," said cabinet member for community and children's services, Cllr Antony Lillis.

“But we are not complacent. The Inspectorate has raised the bar on the standards expected this year and that is a welcome drive to improving services still further. We have more work to do in some areas, such as in the ‘dignity and respect’ category. Our work in this area is already better now than a year ago when this assessment was made and we will make it better still over the months ahead.”
