Christmas Lunch at the Town Hall

More than three hundred of the borough's older residents will celebrate Christmas Day together at Hammersmith Town Hall this year.
The council's annual Christmas Day lunch has been running for over twenty years, offering people who may have no family living nearby a place to come together for roast turkey with all the trimmings, Christmas presents and entertainment.
Thanks to generous support from local businesses and the council, guests will have a lovely day from start to finish. The less able guests can be picked up from their homes and taken to the town hall where they will be greeted with a drink before sitting down to Christmas lunch. After lunch the guests can sit back and enjoy the entertainment or maybe even have a dance.
Councillor Andrew Johnson, Mayor of Hammersmith & Fulham said: “Christmas is a time for families to be together. Unfortunately not all of us are lucky enough to have friends or family around. That is why the council will once again hold our annual Christmas Day lunch party for older people who would otherwise spend Christmas alone. We rely heavily on the support of volunteers to make this special event possible and to me this truly demonstrates the spirit of Christmas."
To ensure fairness to all applicants guests will be selected to attend on the basis of need and on a first come, first served basis.
All potential guests must complete the application form and return to the above address by Monday 8th December. Please provide as much accurate information as possible. Successful applicants will receive their invitations by Friday 12th December. To obtain an application form email events@lbhf.gov.uk or call 0845 337 0314.
