Christmas lights switch on

Why not pop down to Jerdan Place on Friday December 5 and see Fulham’s magnificent Christmas lights officially switched on?
A whole afternoon of festivities is planned for what is sure to be memorable event for the whole family.
The lights will be officially turned on at 6pm and entertainment will be provided from 3.30pm to 7.30pm.
Cllr Frances Stainton, cabinet member for culture and heritage, will switch the lights on and said: “I look forward to seeing as many people as possible on Friday December 5 for what is sure to be a wonderful afternoon. There is lots of entertainment as you see below, from traditional family events to new special features this year."
Entertainment will be provided by Tête à Tête, described by the Independent on Sunday as probably the best purveyors of contemporary opera in the country.
Fulham Camerata, a unique combination of amateur and professional singers, will also be attending together with a host of other local performers.
In addition, there will be Christmas trees stilt walkers and nearby St John's Church will host a Christmas Fair with a food court, Santa's grotto and much more. Both the Christmas tree in Fulham and the one in Shepherds Bush will be sponsored by Quadrom Services.
The fun will take place at Fulham Island, Jerdan Place, Farm Lane by St John’s Church Fulham.
