Schools from across the borough took part in a special day of skipping challenges recently (Friday November 7).
The Skip2bFit day was organised by the council’s sports development team and the school sports partnership. The concept of Skip2bfit has been proven to raise standards in numeracy in schools, by using digital skipping ropes to enhance learning, by challenging children to improve and record their own data.
The winning schools were St John’s Primary and Larmenier & Sacred Heart Catholic School, while the teachers’ prize went to St Marys Catholic Primary School.
