Have your say on events

Now is the time to have your say on the kind of events that you would like to see held in the borough over the next three years.

The council has put together its first ever events strategy which sets out its commitment to delivering an events programme that delights both residents and visitors and offers the best value for money.

The new strategy has been written to meet the following aims of the council’s dedicated Events team:

  • To celebrate the borough and engage residents through diverse events
  • To help neighbourhoods arrange their own events and make the best use of parks and open spaces
  • To ensure the sustainable use of parks and indoor venues for events

Cllr Paul Bristow, cabinet member for residents’ services, said: “The council has a fantastic events team but for them to arrange the kind of events that residents want to see it is vital people have their say. I urge everyone to have a look at the draft strategy and tell us what you think.”
