New playground at Miles Coverdale Primary School

Pupils at Miles Coverdale Primary School in Shepherds Bush certainly enjoy play time now that the school has got a brand new playground.

The state-of-the-art playground comprises many new features that have gone down a treat with the children.

The new play area includes a new astro-turf football pitch and a new climbing frame. There is also play area built in the shape of a tower, a maze and a climbing wall.

If that is not enough, pupils can also play on new tables with contain built in board games. The new playground cost the school in the region of £100,000.

Assistant headteacher, Jo Perse, said” All of the pupils really enjoy the new playground and it is certainly an improvement on what we used to have.”

Cllr Antony Lillis, cabinet member for community and children’s services, said: “I am sure that the school and its pupils will make good use of the new playground over the coming years.”
