Motorcyclists and scooter riders are being invited to an open day organised by Hammersmith and Fulham Council to promote safety on the roads.
The Bike and ScooterSafe road-show on October 13th at Hammersmith & West London College will run from 10am to 4pm, ties in with European Road Safety Day.
There will be a scooter and bike simulator on hand to test out both experienced and new riders and there will be plenty of experts on hand to give advice on licences, insurance and bike maintenance.
Over the summer, motorcyclists and scooter riders, from take-away staff and couriers to students, have been taking part in the London BikeSafe and ScooterSafe scheme, which raises road safety awareness.
Exhibitors at the event include the Driving Standards Agency, Honda UK (Motorcycles) and the Metropolitan Police. Mayor of Hammersmith & Fulham, Councillor Andrew Johnson, will also be attending. Cllr Johnson is himself a keen biker who competes in motocross and motorcycle trials on old British bikes, and also restores classic models.
