by Hammersmith and Fulham Press Office
02/10/2008
People working and living in the borough can now sign up to CommunitySafe, a new London-wide website that provides real-time information about emergencies, disruption and crime that affects you as it happens.
Register and you will receive the latest incident information direct to your mobile phone, PDA, pager and email. Alerts can be localised to where you live or work, so you can always keep up to date with the latest news.
Cllr Greg Smith, cabinet member for crime and anti-social behaviour, said: “I’m delighted that Hammersmith & Fulham has been added to the CommunitySafe website. We want to make this borough one of the safest in the country. To do so it is important people can receive up-to-date safety information and I would encourage residents to log on to the site to see what it has to offer.”
Alerts from CommunitySafe will be sent to members’ mobiles and email account directly from the police and Council.
