Window winner is announced

Wednesday December 23, 2009

The Fulham Road competition to find the best dressed shop window came to a thrilling climax yesterday (December 22) when Trinity Hospice won the title.

The charity shop was crowned the winner of the competition, which ran from the December 1-18. The much-loved shop had hundreds of customers voting for it in their droves, with runners-up Studio Flowers and Damian Martin Hairdressers, coming close behind, with compliments galore from voters.

Oliver Bonas, Artbeat, Cath Kidston, The Pottery Café, Nomad Books, The Parson’s Nose, Emma Bridgewater, Kit and Ex Cellar also had many loyal customers voting for their beautiful window displays.

Anthea Wodehouse, who has lived in Fulham for the last 28 years, was the proud winner of a goodie bag with fantastic contributions kindly donated by all the traders who took part in the competition. The treats included a £25 voucher from Oliver Bonus and a carry-all bag from Cath Kidston. Ms Wodehouse chose Art Beat as her favourite window.

Cllr Frances Stainton presented the winners with certificates and all the winners then attended a small champagne reception courtesy of the Durrell Arms.
