Time to Spring Into

A bonanza of fun and excitement is set for the borough next month.

'Spring Into' brings together a whole host of activities and events organised over the Easter period . It all kicks off with an Easter egg hunt in Normand Park and will feature free activities for all the family in libraries, Lyric Square and Fulham Palace as well as a special celebration of St George’s Day. So no matter how little or old you are, make sure you keep your eye out for all the events to help you step into spring.

Cllr Paul Bristow, cabinet member for residents' services, said: "I am sure Spring Into will be a fantastic series of events. There is so much planned so make sure that you do not miss out."

The Normand Park Easter egg hunt will take place from 1pm to 4pm on Sunday March 28. The Park Café will also be open selling festive refreshments.

There will also be a table top sale from 11am to 4pm. Tables are available for £8 with funds raised for the Friends Of Normand Park. Call Brenda Dunne, on 0207 381 4196 to book your table.

Lyric Square activities include:

Friday April 9 - 12pm to 4pm - Spring Make and Create - Spring themed craft and arts activities for kids.

Friday April 16 - 12pm to 4pm - Farm in the City - Farm animals come for a visit to the city for the day.

Friday April 23 - 12pm to 2pm - St Georges in the Square - Come and celebrate St George's Day in Lyric Square.

Other activities include:

Monday April 12 - 2pm to 4pm – Craft workshop at Fulham Palace. Make eggs, branches and birds from recycled materials.

Tuesday April 12 - 2pm to 4pm - Craft workshop at Fulham Palace. Make blooms and bugs from recycled materials.

Both Fulham Palace events are ideal for children aged five to 12 and cost £6. Booking is essential so call 020 7610 7164 to reserve your place.
