Shop appeals licensing decision
Wednesday March 23, 2011
Nationwide corner-shop chain, Nisa Local, is appealing against Hammersmith & Fulham Council's decision to refuse a 24-hour alcohol licence for its Askew Road store.
The council refused the license on January 17 following representations from 20 local residents and the police, who were concerned that the problem with street drinkers in the area would become worse if the shop were allowed to open throughout the night.
A hearing date for the appeal has been set for May 25 at West London Magistrates Court, Hammersmith.
