Recycling made easier

Friday May 22, 2009

Recycling is to be made even easier now that the council is delivering orange ‘smart sacks’ on a more regular basis.

H&F will now be issuing the bags four times a year as it encourages residents to recycle paper, card, glass, cans and plastic bottles. These bags were previously only issued three times a year.

The new service starts on July 1 and will start south of the borough, with the crews working their way up to the top of the borough over three months. There will be a leaflet inside the roll informing residents of what can be recycled.

While this improved service is being rolled out, residents will be able to pick up smart sacks from the usual sites, including libraries, council offices and housing offices.
