Normand Park Dog Show
Canine lovers from across the borough are invited to the first ever Normand Park Dog Show later this month.
So whether you are keen on King Charles Spaniels, love Labradors or simply adore Alsatians, then Normand Park in Fulham really is the place to be on Saturday March 28.
The event is being organised jointly by the council’s park’s service and the North Fulham New Deal for Communities (NDC) with the aim of promoting responsible dog ownership. And special guest on the day will be Rob Alleyne, the star of BBC’s Dog Borstal.
Cllr Paul Bristow, cabinet member for residents services said: “The Normand Park Dog Show promises to be a great day. But while it is bound to be fun it does carry a very serious message – and that is to look after your dog. There will be plenty of advice on responsible dog ownership available on the day so I urge as many dog lovers and owners to attend.”
David Bowler, Programme Director, North Fulham NDC, said: "Responsible dog owners and their healthy, well-behaved pets are a welcome, daily feature of life in Normand Park. The show will be celebrating this with fun activities for everyone and practical advice and great offers for dog owners and their pets."
The show will feature numerous categories, from cutest puppy to best trick and best in show. And with entry to show classes free of charge there really is no reason not to take part.
There will also be mobile dog grooming, a mobile vet clinic, special talks on safety around dogs for children, free microchipping and plenty of free information and advice.
The show takes place at Normand Park on Saturday March 28 from 11.30am to 3pm. For more information visit www.northfulhamndc.org.uk (opens new window) or call North Fulham NDC on 020 7471 0340.
