Superhero fireworks

Monday September 23, 2013

More than 20,000 people are likely to descend on Bishops Park and Ravenscourt Park in November for Hammersmith & Fulham (H&F) Council’s firework festivities.

The displays, which this year will have a Superhero theme, take place on Friday, November 1 at Bishops Park, Fulham and Saturday, November 2 at Ravenscourt Park, Hammersmith.

The gates will open at 6pm at both events and children's fireworks will take place at 7.15pm. The celebrations will culminate with a fantastic firework display choreographed to music at 8pm (approx).

Deputy Leader Cllr Greg Smith, said, "We realise how popular our firework displays are and we have been able to, once again, ensure that we host two large events this year in the face of reduced budgets. These events attract plenty of families and residents looking for a good time and it is an opportunity for the whole community to come together and enjoy a wonderful display in two of our finest parks."

Residents attending the events are reminded  to arrive at the park early, as the gates will close at 7.45pm. There will also be no admittance to any vendors, and it is prohibited to bring your own fireworks, sparklers, alcohol or dogs to the event.

There will be plenty of fun to be had for all the family with funfair and food stalls so make it a date and be prepared to be wowed!

Tickets can be purchased in advance for a 33 per cent saving - £5 per person via the Lyric Theatre box office (opens new window) or on 020 8741 6850. Advance booking closes 5.30pm on October 31 for Bishops Park, and 5.30pm on November 1 for Ravenscourt Park. Tickets also available on the gate for £7 (under fives go free).

I have a load of old broken pallets that could be used for your fireworks display, would these be of any interest to you? I am based in Acton and of course these would come as a donation. many thanks

What sort of food stalls will be there? Anything healthy or usual carnie mystery meat?

What will happen if the suspected rain will arrive on Saturday. How will we know if it is going ahead? And what about refunds?

The link for buying tickets for Bishops park does not work - it goes to the lyric and states the requested page does not exist!

This information/article should be in your event calendar.

And it doesn't help that your 2013 Fireworks are headlined "Fireworks 2012" on the calendar!
